LEADERSHIP TEAM

Meet Our Pastors

Pastors Gil and Liz are passionate to see church “reimagined” and be a vibrant and dynamic place where those of all ages who come are radically changed by an encounter with the presence of God and the authentic moving of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the people.

Gil Oelschlager

At 4 years old Pastor Gil first felt the Lord speak to him in what seemed an audible voice.  While playing outside he heard “you will be a pastor one day and you will marry a pastor’s daughter.”  At 10 years old when at a camp, he accepted Jesus during an altar call but never really walked with Him.  At the age of 25 he committed his life to the Lord at Calvary Worship Center and began fully serving Him. There he met Liz, Pastor Tom’s daughter, and they were married the next year. He has his Associates degree in Theology from Calvary Bible Institute and for over 25 years has served as Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, Small Group Leadership, Lighting and Video Production Manager, and various other ministry positions in the church in Florida and Tennessee.

He and Liz have been married for 35 years and have one daughter, Shelby Rae, who resides in Tennessee. Together they own and operate a home remodeling business where they enjoy being out meeting new customers and using their experience and skills to bring the person’s vision for their home to reality.   His greatest passions are his family, mentoring spiritual sons in their spiritual walk and practical life skills, and fixing or building…anything!

Liz Oelschlager

Liz has been involved in pastoral leadership for over 30 years.  Her ministry includes administration, teaching and equipping others.  She is passionate to bring people into God’s presence, and unpack the Word of God in a simple, relevant way so that the Bible is easy to understand and apply to people’s everyday life.  She received her Associates of Ministry degree from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas.  When she returned home from college, her father had become a pastor and the church was meeting in their home. After working a secular job for four years, she joined the church staff serving as office secretary, playing piano and being part of the praise team.

She later became Music & Arts Department Director for both Adult and Youth Praise and Dance Teams, helped lead Small Groups with Pastor Gil, and in Tennessee helped plant and pastor a church there.  She is also part owner and office manager of their home remodeling business.   She loves spending time with her family, decorating and enjoys quiet time to read or watch a good movie.
